Bio

Allison G. Magee is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with a passion for advocacy and courtroom excellence. A cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, Allison brings both academic distinction and practical experience to her role at Hortsman Campanelli.


Originally from Dallas, Texas, Allison moved to Chicago to attend Columbia College Chicago, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her diverse academic background contributes to her dynamic presence and strong communication skills in the courtroom.


During law school, Allison concentrated her studies in Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. Ms. Magee was an active member of UIC Law’s Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council, competing in national and regional mock trial competitions for four semesters. She was honored with the Individual Outstanding Advocate Award at Hofstra's Medical Malpractice National Mock Trial Competition, where her team placed 5th in the nation. She later captained her trial teams.


She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Southwest Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.


Allison is proud to bring her litigation training and commitment to justice to the Criminal Defense team at Hortsman Campanelli, where she passionately advocates for clients and works tirelessly to protect their rights.
